Task 2 - Advertising


The advert's target audience would be judged by the colour, style and imagery of the game. As the game's theme is set as dark, intense and atmospheric the game would appeal and reach out to players over 15. This is because the dark blue colours give a creepy and scary look to the game. The imagery within the game include fighting scenes, which are gory and include blood. Players of younger then 15 may find this inappropriate and hard to watch. Therefore, the target audience for HellBlade would fit as pegi 15.

HellBlade is sold on many platforms such as, steam, console and other online websites. This makes there games mainstream, as these platforms are fairly new and popular within the game's industry.

The game is very different to other games making it unique. This game is similar in the sense of violence and pain, however the story is different from any other game. The main character goes through psychosis and mental health issues, this may reach out to a new target audience who may feel the same way as the main character. This helps to advertise their game and bring in more players.
